• Job Purpose: T**he daily operations of the movement of merchandise
  
  

through the department within specified productivity, cost, and quality

standards. The safe operation of metal cutting, shipping, and receiving

by performing the following duties. Works under minimal supervision of

the General Manager.

• Essential Functions** include the following. Other duties may be
  
  

assigned.

• Receives, stock, pulls and ships parts via numerous carriers.
• Resolves problems with shipping and receiving of parts.
• Reviews and orders shipping and receiving supplies.
• Solves problems with tracking, receiving, and data processing by
  
  

contacting the Couriers.

• Compiles information for accurate cycle counts, inventory and
  
  

generate reports.

• Keep stock shelves clean and orderly.
• Identifies that the part number, serial number, and quantity agree
  
  

with the supplied list and purchase order and makes sure that all

match as per order.

• Inspects purchased parts, assemblies, and materials for conformance
  
  

to specifications. Examines items for defects in materials, work,

and damage occurring in transit.

• Identifies, quarantines, and documents non-conforming purchased
  
  

materials or components in accordance with prescribed procedures and

processes as required.

• Interfaces with Sales/Purchasing to resolve parts certification
  
  

issues.

• Load, operate and unload metal cutting machines. Ensure preventative
  
  

maintenance and safe operations of metal cutting equipment.

• Operates forklift as required.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three to five

years previous experience; one to three years experience with

distribution, forklift operation, metal cutting/shear experience and

measurement tools preferred; or equivalent combination of training and

experience.

Ability to apply basic math, including adding, subtracting, multiplying,

and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common

fractions, and decimals.

Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate

verbally in one-on-one and group situations with management, co-workers,

employees, and customers, including the ability to give instructions;

the ability to speak clearly, effectively, and professionally in

positive or negative situations; listen to others without interrupting

and gets clarification; and responds well to questions.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret simple and complex instructions,

work orders, and technical procedures. Ability to read and understand

instructions and specifications of orders. Ability to read and

understand blueprints and inspection procedures. Ability to compose and

edit basic correspondence and procedures. Writes clearly and

informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions

furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with

problems involving several concrete variables in standardized

situations. Ability to reason complex problems. Ability to perform

repetitive mental and physical activities.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to

operate the software and equipment used in the department, including but

not limited to the computer software programs and shipping equipment. In

addition, an individual should be able to operate equipment used in the

department, including ut not limited to forklift, metal cutting

machine, calipers, inspection tools and computer measuring machine.
