Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) or related field is required.
- Certification in at least one NDT method such as ASNT Level I or II in Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), or Dye Penetrant Testing (PT).
- Minimum of 2 years experience performing non-destructive inspections in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of quality control principles and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and inspection standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Level II certifications in fluid penetrant inspection
- Experience working with aerospace, automotive, or heavy machinery manufacturing sectors.
- Familiarity with computerized inspection reporting systems and quality management software.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards such as ASTM-E1417/E1417M, NAS410, or AS9100
- Strong problem-solving skills and experience in root cause analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct non-destructive inspections using dye penetrant testing to evaluate product quality.
- Interpret inspection results and identify any defects or irregularities in materials or components according to established quality standards and specifications.
- Document inspection findings accurately and prepare detailed reports for review by quality assurance and engineering teams.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering personnel to address quality issues and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of testing procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and industry regulations during inspection activities.
