Seeking Support Staff

Perched on a hillside above Elliott Bay and steps from Pike Place Market, Aerlume shines with air, light, and sweeping views of sea and sky. We take pride in creating a place for visitors and locals to gather to celebrate life.

We are looking for versatile, enthusiastic individuals who are eager to learn and grow within our team. We are currently hiring for the following support roles:

Host

As a Host, you are the first and last impression our guests carry with them. You set the tone for the entire dining experience with warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet guests upon arrival, creating a warm and inviting first impression
• Manage reservations and the waitlist using the restaurant's booking system
• Seat guests thoughtfully, taking into account server rotation, table availability, and special requests
• Communicate clearly with the service team regarding table status, guest needs, and special occasions
• Manage the flow of the dining room during peak service periods
• Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a polished and professional manner
• Assist with coatcheck, menus, and other guest-facing tasks as needed
• Maintain a tidy and welcoming host stand and entrance area throughout service

Qualifications

• Previous hosting or front-of-house experience in a restaurant setting preferred
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Warm, poised, and professional demeanor
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a high-energy environment
• Familiarity with reservation platforms (Seven Rooms, OpenTable, or similar) an asset
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays

Busser

As a Busser, you will work closely with our service team to maintain the flow and efficiency of the dining room while ensuring every guest feels well cared for. Responsibilities include serving water, bread, and butter and refilling as needed; clearing plates and utensils between courses; resetting tables; assisting waitstaff with hot beverages; and maintaining clean, organized, and well-stocked workstations. Our goal is to provide the highest quality of service to every guest — striving toward satisfaction, positive team relations, and profitability.

Food Runner

As a Food Runner, you will play a crucial role in delivering an exceptional dining experience by bridging the kitchen and the dining room with precision and care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests efficiently and accurately
• Ensure all dishes are complete and presented to the restaurant's standards before leaving the pass
• Act as a liaison between kitchen and front-of-house staff to support smooth, seamless service
• Inspect dishes for accuracy, presentation, and temperature prior to delivery
• Monitor the timing of food preparation to ensure all courses for a table are ready simultaneously
• Address guest inquiries or concerns in a professional and friendly manner
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure all equipment is in good working condition
• Assist kitchen and service staff as needed to support the overall guest experience

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment preferred
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills
• Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and a genuine commitment to quality
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays

Compensation: $23–$28 per hour | DOE
