Position Overview:
The Receiving / Final Inspector is responsible for performing inspections on incoming materials, components, and final products to ensure conformance to aerospace industry specifications, customer requirements, and company quality standards. This position helps ensure product quality, compliance with AS9100 and customer requirements, and supports continuous improvement initiatives within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform receiving inspections on incoming materials and components using appropriate tools, gauges, and inspection methods per drawing and specification requirements.
- Perform final inspections on completed parts, subassemblies, and products to ensure compliance with customer and engineering requirements before shipment.
- Review certifications, test reports, and supplier documentation for compliance with purchase order requirements.
- Accurately document inspection results and nonconformances in accordance with company procedures.
- Ensure inspection records are complete, organized, and retained per company and AS9100 requirements.
- Assist with first article inspections (FAI) per AS9102 requirements as needed.
- Maintain and verify the calibration status of inspection equipment used.
- Communicate effectively with production, engineering, and supply chain teams regarding nonconforming material and inspection results.
- Support and participate in internal and external audits as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized inspection area following safety and 5S principles.
Required Qualifications:
- 3 years of quality control experience in inspection in the aerospace or precision manufacturing
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certifications in inspection, quality, or aerospace manufacturing preferred.
- Knowledge of GD&T, engineering drawings, and aerospace standards (AS9100, AS9102) required.
- Experience using inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, surface plates, and other precision measuring equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and quality documents accurately.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office and ERP/MRP systems for recording inspections.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs. as required.
- Good vision and manual dexterity for detailed inspection work.
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing and inspection areas with occasional exposure to noise and moving equipment.
- Standard work schedule: Monday – Friday, day shift, may fluctuate depending on production activities
