About the Role
Our client is seeking a Packaging Development Specialist to join the Central Pack team within Integrated Project Solutions (IPS). This role supports the **Snacks Operating Unit, working on iconic brands such as Nature Valley, Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks, Chex Mix, and Pillsbury Mini Soft Baked Cookies.
You will lead packaging projects including new product launches, line extensions, and packaging improvements, collaborating with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Suppliers, Food Safety & Quality, R&D) to deliver impactful results.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to execute packaging projects (line extensions, in & outs, cost savings, Canadian Draft & Adapt).
Develop, maintain, review, and validate packaging specifications ensuring feasibility and compliance.
Manage project data and documentation using GMI systems (RDSS, Optiva, TOPS, ConnectedITQer, Eclips). Training provided.
Build and leverage networks to support and execute work.
Demonstrate agility in managing projects, adapting to changing priorities, and resolving roadblocks.
Influence and drive results across multiple functions without formal authority.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma with 5 years of directly related experience OR 2-Year Degree with 3 years of related experience (packaging development, product launches).
Experience developing, reviewing, and managing packaging specifications.
Packaging experience across different product platforms.
Proven ability to work independently and within a team.
Working knowledge of packaging specifications and systems.
Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
5–7 years of related experience (packaging material coordination for product launches).
Experience across multiple businesses or platforms.
Additional Considerations
Fully onsite role in Golden Valley, MN – remote work is not permitted.
Candidates must reside within commuting distance.
Temp-to-hire contract; bill rates outside the provided range will not be considered.
