Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer-Desktop support
Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota
Duration: 3 months

Position Purpose
The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for supporting core Digital & Technology (D&T) initiatives and leading day-to-day IT activities at the site. This role ensures reliability, availability, and protection of critical infrastructure and provides high-quality support to business users while driving continuous improvement and technology enablement.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Collaboration
- Act as a visible and trusted leader across sites and projects, building strong relationships with business partners and IT stakeholders.
- Demonstrate a One Global Team mindset through collaboration across global Digital & Technology teams and external vendors.
- Manage and/or participate in IT projects including planning, execution, tracking, communication, and stakeholder engagement.
- Coordinate and manage vendor relationships to ensure timely resolution of issues and maintain business continuity.
- Promote continuous learning and self-development, encouraging a culture of improvement and innovation.
Technical Operations & Support
- Run & Protect: Ensure high availability and security of critical IT systems including WAN/LAN networks, servers, printing services, and telephony. Escalate issues to appropriate global teams as required.
- Provide 2nd & 3rd line desktop support, including hardware and software troubleshooting, system upgrades, and end-user technical assistance.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, acting with urgency, ownership, and empathy to resolve issues and minimize business disruption.
- Execute incident and problem management — respond to support requests, document issues, and drive root-cause resolution.
- Manage hardware lifecycle and provisioning, ensuring compliance with D&T standards and providing user knowledge via OPLs, onboarding, and documentation.
- Support cybersecurity and physical security protocols, working with compliance teams to ensure adherence and escalate violations when necessary.
- Collaborate with global D&T groups to support implementation and adoption of new technologies at the site.
Qualifications & Experience
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related discipline
- OR Associate’s degree with 5 years of IT experience in a manufacturing environment
- 1 year of hands-on IT infrastructure experience
- Intermediate proficiency in desktop productivity tools and system/network troubleshooting
- Strong analytical skills with a passion for solving technical challenges
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and ability to influence key business partners
- Proven ability to set and uphold standards while working independently and driving outcomes
Preferred
- Experience supporting manufacturing / shop-floor IT environments
- Exposure to vendor management and project leadership
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and compliance processes
