Job Title: Histotechnician
Location: Ridgefield, CT
Duration: Contractual till April 2027
Pay Range: $45-53/hr on w2 without PTO
We are looking for at least 2 years FFPE tissue sectioning (experience with skin required), embedding tissues (also in TMAs), processing tissues.
Key Responsibilities
Tissue fixation, processing, and embedding of biological specimens
Sectioning tissues using microtomy techniques to prepare high-quality slides
Performing routine, special staining, and IHC/IF procedures
Whole slide scanning
Maintenance of laboratory equipment
Ensuring quality control and accurate documentation of laboratory procedures
Collaborating with pathologists and research scientists to support ongoing projects
Histotechnician Qualifications & Skills
Must Have:
Microtomy skill
Experience with FFPE tissue block sectioning
Associate degree in histotechnology or a related field
ASCP certification as a Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL), or eligibility to obtain certification
Proficiency in microtomy, tissue processing, embedding, and staining techniques
Strong understanding of laboratory safety protocols and regulatory compliance
Exceptional attention to detail, manual dexterity, and organizational skills
Excellent time-management, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume laboratory environment
Bachelors Degree
Salary : $45 - $53
