Overview
Leading pharmaceutical company looking for an experienced Histotechnician. Ideal candidates should have a bachelors degree and experience with FFPE tissue processing, embedding, and sectioning in TMA formats.
Responsibilities
- Perform tissue fixation, processing, and embedding of biological specimens
- Section tissues using microtomy techniques to prepare high-quality slides
- Conduct routine, special staining, and IHC/IF procedures
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including whole slide scanners
- Ensure quality control and accurate documentation of laboratory procedures
- Collaborate with pathologists and research scientists to support ongoing projects
Requirements
- Microtomy skill with experience in FFPE tissue block sectioning (skin required)
- Experience with FFPE tissue processing, embedding, and sectioning in TMA formats
- Bachelor's degree in histotechnology or a related field
- ASCP certification as a Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL), or eligibility to obtain certification
- Proficiency in microtomy, tissue processing, embedding, and staining techniques
- Strong understanding of laboratory safety protocols and regulatory compliance
- Exceptional attention to detail, manual dexterity, and organizational skills
- Excellent time-management and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume laboratory environment
