Sr. Desktop Engineer
Location: Sarasota, FL – Onsite
Duration: 6 Months Contract with Possible Extension
Role Requirements & Candidate Profile
Availability
- Must be local to the Sarasota, FL area.
- Must be available to start immediately.
- Must be comfortable working onsite daily.
Core Expertise – Required
- Senior-level Desktop Engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Print Server management.
- Strong experience with Tanium patching.
- Candidates must be proficient in these core areas to be considered for the position.
Preferred Skills – Bonus
- Hands-on experience with Epic Kuiper.
- Previous Healthcare IT experience.
Primary Responsibilities
The Sr. Desktop Engineer will support broader enterprise desktop engineering activities, including:
- Enterprise client endpoint management.
- Infrastructure and desktop support.
- Endpoint configuration and compliance.
- Software and application deployment.
- Windows operating system updates and patch management.
- Device lifecycle and asset management.
Required Technical Knowledge
Candidates should demonstrate working knowledge of:
- SCCM / Microsoft Configuration Manager
- Microsoft Intune
- Endpoint compliance monitoring
- Application packaging
- Software deployment
- Windows Feature Updates
- OS patch management
- Device lifecycle management
- Asset management and reporting
Troubleshooting & Problem Solving
Experience troubleshooting complex enterprise environments, including:
- Complex software deployment issues
- VDI troubleshooting
- Citrix environments
- Printer infrastructure
- Thin-client / Wyse management
- Epic workstation readiness
- Imprivata integrations
- Browser and application automation issues
- Enterprise authentication solutions
Problem-Solving Expectations
A strong candidate should be able to:
- Independently diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Perform effective root cause analysis.
- Develop temporary workarounds while awaiting vendor fixes.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues with minimal supervision.
