National Client Manager
POSITION SUMMARY
The National Client Manager will manage due diligence projects for large national clients, serve as a technical lead, and will ensure that all projects meet the client’s goals and scope expectations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing large national accounts
- Building direct client relationships in support of sales efforts through servicing the account and in-person meetings
- Serving as the primary environmental lead for national accounts, many of which are AEI’s top clients
- Maintaining a technical review load and delegating reviews to support staff as needed
- Ensuring all projects are staffed, performed to high standards of quality, and delivered on time
- Managing due diligence projects being completed by associate consultants/contractors
- Ensuring all projects meet the client's goals and scope expectations
- Building an intimate, in-depth understanding of the client's goals and facilitating the delivery of consulting to meet those needs
- Supporting AEI’s organizational growth
- *QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience (approximately 5 to 10 years) performing and reviewing environmental due diligence projects, such as Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs)
- Extensive knowledge and experience in assessing various property types (including but not limited to gas stations, dry cleaners, printing facilities, industrial and manufacturing sites, and automotive repair and body shops)
- Experience in evaluating all types of environmental regulatory cases, such as LUST, State Hazardous Wastes, CERCLIS, and NPL sites
- Advanced writing, report review, time management, and organizational skills are required
- Personable and able to communicate with people at all levels
- Must be a self-starter, resourceful, and be able to work productively on multiple projects at a time under strict deadlines
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- State regulatory knowledge preferred
- Experience with Phase II Subsurface Investigations and/or Remediation Work preferred
- Experience with managing various vendors and subcontractors preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Quire preferred
- Bidding and project cost estimation a plus
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in environmental science, engineering or geology-related science
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
- Current OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training certification, asbestos inspector, and/or lead-based paint certification a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- The work environment is indoors, in a typical office setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers to manipulate, handle or reach; and talk or hear. The employee may occasionally be required to stand, walk, balance, kneel or crouch. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to focus.
