What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Engineer position at Aegis Search?
Work on hardware that goes to space, working in a role that will challenge you technically.
This is a great opportunity to join a space business who are ramping up at scale - they are looking for electrical engineers to join their R&D team. This role would suit if you have spent a few years working at a larger business, have learnt the ropes, and are looking for a role where you have more design autonomy and can work on more varied work.
The work spans both digital and analog domains. You'll be doing real design work - including projects featuring power electronics, FPGA, and worst case circuit analysis work. You'll be working on hardware that has to work first time, and you will ideally have already worked in the aerospace or defense sector.
You will be working full time on site in Herndon, Virginia. The salary is in the region of $110k - $140k dependent on experience, plus bonus and medical coverage.
What you'll be doing
- Electrical design across both digital and analog domains
- Designing hardware that ships for usage in space and national security applications
- Perform worst case circuit analysis on flight hardware
- Work across the entire product lifecycle - from specification and prototyping through to test and production
What you'll need
- Around three to five years commercial experience, ideally at a space or aerospace business
- Ability to work on a broad range of projects across analog and digital technology
- Hands on worst case circuit analysis skills
