Swiss CNC Turning Machinist — Medical Implants

Own the Night Shift, Craft Life-Changing Parts

On our 3rd shift, you’ll take full ownership of Star Swiss-type CNC lathes to produce precision medical implants. From first setup through final inspection, you’ll keep tight tolerances locked in, processes stable, and documentation clean. Training is available for motivated operators looking to grow.

A Day in Your Role

• Independently set up, operate, and troubleshoot Star Swiss turning centers to manufacture precision medical implants.
• Apply offsets, perform tool changes, and make in-process adjustments to consistently hold demanding tolerances.
• Read and interpret blueprints, setup documentation, and work instructions to ensure every part meets customer specifications.
• Use precision metrology (micrometers, calipers, optical comparator) to verify features and dimensions.
• Complete routine and daily preventive maintenance (P.M.) on assigned machines.
• Record first-piece inspections, maintenance actions, and work orders with clear, accurate documentation.
• Follow rigorous quality and traceability protocols, including ID and lot control.
• Partner with engineering and quality teams to improve cycle times, tooling, and overall machining strategies.
• Maintain 5S standards—keep the cell clean, safe, and organized.

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
• At least 1 year of blueprint reading experience.
• At least 1 year applying GD&T concepts and measuring tolerances with micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Approximately 1 year operating and setting up CNC machines preferred (not required).
• Strong problem-solving mindset and exceptional attention to detail.
