Reliability & Maintenance Supervisor — Corrugated Paper Operations

Compensation: $70,000–$80,000
About the role
Join a high-output, continuous manufacturing facility producing recycled containerboard for the corrugated box industry. As the Reliability & Maintenance Supervisor, you'll lead mechanical and electrical teams to keep production safe, compliant, and running at peak uptime.
A day in the life
- 7:00 AM: Kick off with a safety-focused toolbox talk and reinforce LOTO, confined space, and site policies.
- 8:00 AM: Review the CMMS (Maximo preferred) backlog, prioritize work orders, and allocate technicians to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and special systems work.
- Late Morning: Walk jobs in high-traffic and limited-access areas; verify housekeeping standards and inspect completed work against specifications.
- Afternoon: Lead or support root cause analyses (RCA) and continuous improvement actions to drive quality and uptime.
- Throughout the day: Oversee inventory control for tools and consumables, confirm safety equipment inspections are current, and provide hands-on troubleshooting support as needed.
- As needed: Participate in an after-hours maintenance rotation to keep the plant running safely and reliably.
What you'll oversee
- Supervision of mechanical and electrical maintenance teams with strict adherence to safe work practices, policy compliance, proper LOTO procedures, and timely task execution.
- Maintenance activities across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and special systems; inspection of finished work for compliance with standards and specifications.
- Work order planning support—prioritization, scheduling, and personnel assignment within the CMMS.
- Participation in RCA investigations and ongoing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Inventory management for shop tools and consumables; verification of safety equipment inspection completion; housekeeping leadership in high-traffic and limited-access areas.
- Full compliance with confined space procedures and all internal maintenance processes, including an after-hours rotation.
What you'll need
- Experience in a continuous manufacturing environment with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and equipment uptime.
- CMMS proficiency (Maximo preferred); ability to read schematics and operate electrical test equipment including meters, meggers, analyzers, and phase meters.
- Hands-on exposure to PLCs, DCS systems, electrical power systems, instrumentation, and plant equipment troubleshooting.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, cylinders, belts, pulleys, bearings, and gearboxes.
- Understanding of standard mechanical practices, materials, tools, and equipment used to maintain rotating and fixed systems.
