We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations for our a** manufacturing facility here in Indianapolis**. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned leader with manufacturing experience who is a driven and eager to build systems, teams, and processes from the ground up. The ideal candidate will bring a strong *mechanical, electrical, and automation* background, along with a proven track record of developing high-performing maintenance teams.
Key Responsibilities
- **Build and lead the maintenance department **for a new manufacturing facility, including hiring, training, and developing a high-performance technical team.
- Design, implement, and refine maintenance processes and systems, including preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and leadership teams during installation, commissioning, and scale-up of new production equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and automation issues to ensure maximum equipment uptime.
- Develop and manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and vendor relationships.
- Ensure all equipment and maintenance activities comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Analyze equipment performance data and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Establish documentation, SOPs, and training materials for all maintenance activities.
- Lead a culture focused on safety, reliability, and proactive problem-solving.
Qualifications
- 5 years of maintenance leadership experience in manufacturing; startup plant experience strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical controls, automation/PLC systems, and industrial equipment.
- Experience hiring, coaching, and developing technical teams.
- Proven success implementing preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
- Excellent communication, project management, and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
Salary : $110,000 - $130,000
