You start by reviewing last night’s logs, then move to the line where an HMI alarm just popped. Within minutes, you’re inside RSLogix 5000, tracing ladder logic, verifying inputs/outputs against a wiring diagram, and pushing a clean, safe program edit to get production back on pace. Before lunch, you coach a maintenance tech through a VFD parameter check. By afternoon, you’re collaborating with engineering on a controls upgrade and scheduling preventive checks on 480V panels. You head home knowing the team met its targets—safely and efficiently.Where You’ll Make an ImpactBuild, install, and sustain plant electrical and controls systems centered on PLCs.Diagnose faults in ladder logic; perform light program modifications and verify safe operation.Execute preventive and corrective maintenance for power distribution, lighting, controls, and facility systems.Use schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams to pinpoint and resolve issues.Partner with maintenance and engineering on upgrades, retrofits, and new equipment installs.Train technicians in electrical troubleshooting methods and PLC fundamentals.Respond quickly to equipment outages to reduce downtime.Maintain competency across multiple PLC families (Allen‑Bradley strongly preferred).Support mechanical work when needed—hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, and drives.Your Background2 years hands-on with PLC troubleshooting/editing (Allen‑Bradley or Siemens preferred).Strong familiarity with RSLogix 5000/Studio 5000.Comfortable reading ladder logic, schematics, and electrical prints.Solid knowledge of 480V, 3‑phase, AC/DC drives, VFDs, HMIs, and industrial controls.Mechanical aptitude with bearings, shafts, motors, and related components.Associate or Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or similar preferred, not required.Experience in manufacturing or heavy industrial settings preferred.About the Company You’ll SupportAegis Worldwide has teamed up with a metals manufacturer producing precision cast components for the automotive, construction, agricultural, and industrial markets.
