What are the responsibilities and job description for the High-Speed CNC Milling Technician (Siemens 840D) position at Aegis Manufacturing & Engineering?
Picture your day: you open a new work order, study the blueprint and work instructions, confirm dimensions and tolerances, choose fixtures and workholding, and bring a CNC mill to life. You align and secure the workpiece, dial in tool offsets, and run a first article. You verify results with precision measuring instruments, document the inspection, and fine-tune speed, feed, depth, and cutting angles to lock in repeatable accuracy—especially at 16,000–27,000 RPM. Throughout the run, you monitor the machine, utilize probing, and make proactive adjustments to keep parts within spec. When the job wraps, you leave a clean, orderly, and safe workspace.
