What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pool Service Technician (1099) — Route Provided position at Aegean Pool and Spa Maintenance?
Aegean Pool and Spa has an established residential route of approximately 40 pools ready to hand off — Columbia, TN north to the south edge of Nashville (Spring Hill, Thompson's Station, Franklin, Brentwood). This is a 1099 independent contractor role, 3–4 route days per week.
Pay: $25–$35 per pool, based on experience. At ~40 pools per week, that's roughly $1,000–$1,400 per week. Senior technicians can take on additional service and repair work at higher rates.
The work: Skimming, vacuuming, brushing, emptying baskets, water testing, and chemical balancing. Commercial-grade pool vacuum provided.
Requirements:
- Reliable vehicle with a trailer hitch (used to secure the provided vacuum)
- Valid driver's license
- Must consent to a background check and driving record (MVR) check
- Based in or near Columbia/Maury County preferred
- Pool service experience strongly preferred
