About Bora

Bora is a new fast-casual Turkish and Mediterranean restaurant opening at 960 S. Virginia St. in Midtown Reno. We bake our own bread, simit and lahmacun every day, stack our own döner, and serve Turkish breakfast, gyros, bowls and mezze from morning to late night.

The role

Part-time, 20 to 30 hours a week, $20/hr, hybrid with video shoots on-site in Midtown Reno. Built for a marketing, communications or journalism student or recent graduate in Reno. Full-time is possible for the right graduate.

You will own marketing for Bora from before opening day. This is not an assistant role. You report directly to the owner, you get the tools and a budget, and you decide what we post, what we send and what we launch. Bora is the priority. Once the playbook works, you extend it to our other two restaurants.

What you will do

• Shoot and edit short-form video for Instagram, TikTok and YouTube Shorts (phone-first, 3 to 5 posts a week) and run the content calendar
• Run our SpotHopper platform: website updates, email blasts, catering inquiries, job applications and our Google Business Profile
• Own guest retention on Toast: loyalty signups, guest CRM, email and SMS campaigns, the post-visit Google review flow and our Instagram UGC reward program
• Help develop and launch what we sell: new menu items, limited-time specials, merch and membership ideas. Turn guest feedback into product decisions
• Build local partnerships: UNR and TMCC student programs, Midtown and Wells Avenue events, the grand opening campaign, press and creator outreach
• Track what works (followers, engagement, loyalty signups, repeat visits, review count) and report weekly with numbers, not vibes

Who we are looking for

• Marketing, communication, journalism, digital media or business major, or a recent graduate. UNR and TMCC students welcome
• You already make content. A link to your Instagram, TikTok or portfolio is required
• Comfortable shooting and editing on a phone (CapCut or similar); Canva is a plus
• Organized enough to run email, CRM and website tools on your own (we train you on SpotHopper and Toast)
• Into food and restaurants, and available for some evening and weekend shoots
• Based in or near Reno. This is not a remote role
• Bonus: Meta Ads, Google Business Profile or photography experience
• Authorized to work in the US (we participate in E-Verify)
