IT Infrastructure Manager
About The Role
This person will oversee all of our complex IT infrastructure including business and production systems with 24x7 uptime requirements, IT-related training for staff, and troubleshooting of issues related to software, hardware, devices, servers, networks, etc. This includes networks, firewalls, physical servers, virtualization, disaster recovery, tertiary redundancy, backups, and more. Support will be required for a variety of systems including endpoint devices, PCs, printers, phones, file shares, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, MS SQL Server, IIS, Virtualization, technology, as well as a variety of networking equipment including Fortinet, and more.

- 10 years’ experience in complex IT administration
- Oversee all IT infrastructure, including business and production systems with 24/7 uptime requirements.
- Manage networks, firewalls, physical and virtual servers, disaster recovery, tertiary redundancy, and backups.
- Plan, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure, ensuring scalability and compliance with organizational needs.
- Install, configure, monitor, and maintain backup environments, validating recovery capabilities.
- Perform regular disaster recovery testing and implement improvements.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for IT systems and processes.
- Evaluate IT infrastructure of new acquisition locations and oversee seamless integration.
- Manage email and server migration processes, ensuring sustainable and scalable practices.
- Maintain detailed inventory tracking, reconciliation, and surplus management during migrations.
- Provide oversight into hardware builds, Virtual Machine provisioning (VMware), and server configurations.
- Ensure timely application of OS and application updates, patches, and hotfixes.
- Manage endpoint devices, printers, phones, and other peripherals, ensuring optimal performance.
- Implement and enforce IT security measures, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Proactively conduct threat assessments and maintain incident response protocols.
- Collaborate with stakeholders on IT audits and compliance reporting.
- Lead, mentor, and develop onshore and offshore team members, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Assign tasks, provide training, and conduct performance evaluations for team members.
- Promote staff development through training, certification opportunities, and career progression planning.
- Research and implement emerging technologies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify IT solutions that align with business goals. Oversee third-party vendors, including colocation partners, software providers, and hardware suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts and ensure vendor adherence to SLAs and project timelines.
- Provide support for new acquisition location evaluation and integration for the IT Infrastructure teams
- Experience in route, switch technologies & securing large networks.
- Experience with Load Balancers, Firewalls
- Knowledge of Cloud Networking and Security
- Oversite of the Email migration and develop processes for sustainability.
- Oversite of the Server migration and develop processes for sustainability.
- Manages Offshore team members for work assignments, training, etc.
- Provide oversight for upgrades and update on OS and applications to include patches and hot fixes
- Server hardware build and configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, including Virtual Machine provisioning using VMWare
- Active Directory administration, account and security group management
- Plan, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure including servers, network, security, compliance
- Install, configure, monitor, and maintain backup environment as well as validating backup jobs are successful and can be recovered
- Provide and maintain documentation in support of the server environment
- Server Migration inventory tracking, reconciliation and surplus management
