Position Summary
Arkansas Enterprises for the Developmentally Disabled, Inc. (AEDD) is seeking a dedicated and motivated Supportive Employment Coordinator to help individuals with developmental disabilities achieve and maintain competitive employment in the community. This role focuses on job coaching, community engagement, and ongoing support to ensure long-term success for individuals served.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, interview and select individuals for the Supportive Employment Program.
- Assist work instructors as necessary regarding their teaching of pre-vocational curriculum and supportive employment classes for individuals served.
- Assist with acquiring and maintain community worksites for the Supportive Employment Program
- Develop and maintain community relationships with employers for the purpose of gaining successful employment for the individuals served.
- As necessary, supervise individuals in community-based work setting; provide outcome driven case management for all individuals participating in the Supportive Employment Program; ensure safety measures are in place to ensure the safety of individuals served.
- Serves as a job coach as needed
- Maintain individuals' schedules, daily attendance records, timecards and files according to all applicable standards and regulations.
- Conducts pre and post-employment follow-up strategies to sustain the work relationship between individuals served and community employer(s).
- Maintain professional relationships with program coordinators, occupational therapists, mental health professionals and Director of Adult Clinical Services.
- Serves as a point of contact for referrals for support services (i.e. transportation, etc.)
- Generate and present monthly reports on individuals' progress, to be presented to Supportive Employment Supervisor.
- Attend identified trainings and/or meetings (i.e. State and local Chamber of Commerce) public relations and/or employer recognition events as required
- Conducts on-site facility tours for interested parties.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field preferred
- OR 2 years of college with relevant experience
- OR 4 years of experience working with individuals with ID/DD
- Valid Arkansas driver's license and auto insurance required
- CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)

Additional Information
- Position includes local travel within the community
- Must be able to safely transport individuals as needed
