- Under general direction, technically supervises quality projects or major phases of significant quality projects, coordinating the efforts of technical support staff in the performance of assigned project.
- Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge to the completion of significant quality assignments.
- Provides leadership for quality assurance and quality control support on assigned program(s) and/or areas to ensure that the project is designed, procured and installed in accordance with customer and company quality requirements.
- Provides leadership for new systems, development, proposals, implementation, procedures and any related quality activity.
- Develops and applies advanced quality assurance/control theories, as well as research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced technical problems on the forefront of new technologies.
- Analyzes, evaluates and plans methods of approach, as well as organizes means to achieve solution of complex technical problems.
- Reviews project process and evaluates results.
- Evaluates vendor capabilities to provide required products or services.
- Makes frequent decisions using principles and professional independent judgment.
- Conducts investigations and tests that are of moderate to considerable complexity.
- Provides technical consultation to lower level engineers, technicians and inspectors.

Minimum Requirements:
- BA/BS Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management and 6 years of relevant construction quality control experience or AA/AS and 8 years of relevant experience or HS/GED and 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Requirements:
- Solid understanding of the construction delivery process.
- Strong background and understanding of Construction Documents and Submittals.
- Comfortable with interacting with Construction Team members and Tradespeople.
- Knowledgeable of many different construction types and an elementary understanding of building science concepts.
- Experience with ASTM standards and knowledge of construction testing procedures.
- Experience with building codes is a plus, but it is not required.
- Experience in all construction-related trades, especially building envelopes, life safety, and flooring.
- MEP FP knowledge is a plus.
- Able to research, learn quickly, and communicate that knowledge with individuals of different levels of
- understanding.
- Effective at promoting an idea or vision and can motivate people to action.
- Be able to learn to provide a practical understanding of why things go wrong in the design and construction phases and the ability to direct the project team as needed.
- Demonstrates respect for varying backgrounds and perspectives.
