Position
Assemblers are responsible for building surface maintenance equipment according to blueprints and written specifications.
Responsibilities
- Assembles component parts for products according to established specifications, schedules, and standards of quality.
- Fits, trims, aligns, and adjusts parts and components, along with attaching hardware and sealing assembly.
- Routes and ties electrical components, along with calibrating unit according to specification(s).
- Routes and installs hydraulic components.
- Tests installed parts and accessories for leakage, continuity, and functionality.
- Cleans and lubricates parts and assemblies, along with reworks, repairs, or replacing faulty component parts.
- Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, rivets, or other fasteners.
- Operate an overhead crane and forklift.
Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, process sheets, and schematic drawings.
- Ability to work from established work instructions and follow sequence of operations.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools along with inspection equipment, and crate, pack, and move finished goods.
- Disassemble, replace parts, and assist in staging parts for painting as required.
- Able to enter information into established computer system, production records, logs, time clock, and other forms.
- Can verify conformance of work piece to specifications.
- Strong attention to detail.
