Position
Machinists are responsible for machining and fabricating structural metal products.
Responsibilities
- Sets up and operates fabricating machines such as brakes, CNC mills, CNC lathes, manual mills, saws, and drill presses
- Follow job related materials, work instructions and set up sheets.
- Designs and constructs templates and fixtures upon receiving approval from supervisor.
- Operate an overhead crane and forklift.
Qualifications
- Ability to work from established layout and follows sequence of operations.
- Able to enter information into established computer system, production records, logs, time clock, and other forms.
- Can verify conformance of work piece to specifications. Ability to use and read tape measures, dial calipers, micrometers and bore micrometers.
- Read and interpret manufacturing blueprints.
