As an Electrical Project Engineer, you’ll support and deliver electrical designs for water and wastewater treatment facilities, municipal systems, and process facilities. You’ll work across power distribution and generation, lighting, instrumentation and controls, and SCADA systems—collaborating closely with senior engineers, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams. You’ll gain exposure to increasingly complex projects while developing the technical judgment needed to take on more responsibility over time.

Responsibilities
- Provide professional electrical engineering services for projects including planning, studies, design, bidding and construction administration
- Manage performance of assigned project team members
- Maintain existing client relationships and enhance pursued relationships with clients
- Identify, evaluate, pursue, and manage project opportunities
- Provide quality control and quality assurance on all project work
- Maintain budgets and schedules of project assignments
- Coordinate, facilitate, and attend internal and external meetings
- Develop new markets, client relationships, etc.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
- 4 years of electrical system design experience
- Registration as a Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to travel as required for project/client responsibilities and business development
- All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
- 5 years of Electrical Engineering experience in water and/or wastewater treatment
- Knowledge of instrumentation and control systems.
- Medium voltage experience
- Project management experience
- Scope and fee development specific to electrical design
- Ability to walk up to 3-miles on uneven terrain
- Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
- Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist
- Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight
- May require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds
- Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
- May be required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to, flame resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear
- May require occasional evenings and weekends with overtime expectations varying with workload
- May be required to travel to off-site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town
