Pay Range: $22-30/hr
JOB SUMMARY:
Prepares chains of title, title commitments, and other title-related documents for real estate transactions. Provides exceptional customer service to Advocus customers.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review and analyze search packages including property, name, and tax searches as well as supporting deed, mortgages, easements, judgments and other Real Estate-related documents.
- Determine ownership, property legal descriptions, and tax parcel numbers.
- Prepare tract searches, letter reports, chains of titles, and title commitments.
- Prepare owner’s and lender’s title policies.
- Responds to customer inquiries using telephone and e-mail.
- Provide high-quality customer service to both internal and external customers.
- Assist Manager as needed with special projects and requests.
QUALIFICATIONS AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to critically analyze documents and information provided in initial and later-date search packages.
- Knowledge of title practices, regulations and guidelines for Illinois, Florida and other states.
- Outstanding customer service skills, including professional communication skills.
- Attention to detail with accurate data entry skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
- Ability and preference to self-manage and work independently.
- Multiple state experience/licensing preferred.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma required.
- Two years of title examining experience or equivalent knowledge of real estate documents and transactions.
