HEALTH POLICY ADVISOR | AM LAW 100 | WASHINGTON, DC
Our AmLaw 100 client is adding a Health Policy Advisor to a nationally recognized Lobbying & Public Policy platform with deep life sciences, provider, and health tech coverage. The team works the full policy lifecycle in Congress and across federal agencies on high-visibility health matters.
Role Summary
• Track, analyze, and brief on federal health legislation and agency rulemaking affecting drug, biologic, device, digital health, and provider stakeholders.
• Develop advocacy strategies, coalition pathways, and stakeholder engagement plans for congressional and executive-branch targets.
• Draft memos, testimony, comments, and outreach materials; support client meetings with Hill and agency principals.
• Coordinate with litigators, regulatory partners, and cross-office sector teams to advance client objectives.
Candidate Profile
• 7–10 years focused on federal health care and life sciences policy and legislation. Hill experience preferred, ideally with a committee of jurisdiction; relevant executive-branch experience considered in lieu of Hill.
• Bachelor’s required; JD or master’s preferred. Exceptional writing, briefing, and stakeholder-facing skills.
• Comfortable owning issues across drug pricing, coverage/reimbursement, FDA, Medicare/Medicaid, and health innovation.
