Tax Associate (Real Estate/REITs) — New York
Our AmLaw 100 client is building out its New York tax bench for real estate and REIT work. The platform handles complex, high-value assets and cross-border structures, with national recognition across Real Estate and Tax by leading directories.
Role Summary
• Advise on REIT structuring, acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures, capital markets and financing matters tied to real estate assets
• Draft and negotiate tax provisions in transaction documents
• Partner with Real Estate, Funds, Capital Markets and Corporate teams across offices on tax-driven deal architecture and execution
Candidate Profile
• Law school class years 2019–2022
• Solid tax foundation with hands-on exposure to real estate, including REITs
• Excellent research, writing and analytical skills; creative problem solver who can navigate novel issues
• New York location required
