What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate - Real Estate Private Investment Funds position at Advocates Legal Recruiting?
Ready to take your career to the next level with a firm that’s shaping the future of real estate private funds?
Our AmLaw 100 client, widely recognized as a leader in the Private Investment Funds space, is hiring a mid-level associate (JD class years 2021–2023) to join a high-performing, collaborative team that’s doing cutting-edge work at the intersection of private equity and real estate.
Why This Role Stands Out:
Real Impact, Real Deals: You won’t just be paper-pushing. You’ll be advising on major fund formation deals and working directly with top-tier sponsors and institutional clients.
High-Level Exposure Early On: Get hands-on experience with private placements under the '33 Act, unregistered funds under the Investment Company Act, and regulatory work under the Advisers Act.
Mentorship & Growth: Work closely with market-leading partners who are genuinely invested in your growth—and remember what it's like to be an associate.
Flexible Forward-Thinking Culture: This firm values balance, gives you room to grow, and supports hybrid work.
You’re a Great Fit If:
You’ve got 2–4 years of experience with private investment funds (ideally with a real estate twist).
You know your way around the ’33 Act, Advisers Act, and Investment Company Act—or you’re ready to learn fast.
You’ve got top academic credentials and strong writing skills, and you’re barred in New York, Massachusetts, or DC
You’re looking for a place where you can do great work without losing yourself in the process.
If you’re ready to join a top-tier team doing market-moving work—without getting lost in the shuffle—this is your move.
