Advocate Support Services, Inc. is seeking a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Case Worker (PRP Counselor) to join our growing, mission‑driven team. This role is ideal for someone who values relationship‑based work, community engagement, and evidence‑informed interventions that support real‑world recovery.
As a PRP Case Worker, you will provide community‑based psychiatric rehabilitation services to adults, in alignment with Maryland COMAR 10.63 and CARF Behavioral Health Standards. Services focus on helping individuals develop and maintain skills needed for successful, independent living—at their own pace and based on their personal goals.
This is not an office‑based role. Services are delivered where life happens: in the community, in homes, and alongside natural supports.
✅ Provide person‑centered PRP services focused on:
- Independent living skills
- Symptom self‑management
- Community integration and social skills
- Vocational and educational readiness
- Wellness, self‑advocacy, and recovery planning
âś… Collaborate with a multidisciplinary service team, including supervisors and rehabilitation specialists
âś… Develop and follow individualized rehabilitation plans that reflect client voice, choice, and strengths
✅ Maintain timely, accurate, audit‑ready documentation consistent with:
- COMAR 10.63 Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program regulations
- CARF Behavioral Health standards for service delivery, ethics, and quality improvement
âś… Complete required outreach, engagement efforts, and service coordination activities
âś… Participate in supervision, team meetings, and ongoing training
✔ Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, human services, or a related field preferred
✔ Experience working with adults with serious mental illness (community‑based preferred)
✔ Strong documentation, organization, and time‑management skills
âś” Ability to work independently in the field while staying connected to a team
✔ Commitment to ethical, person‑centered, recovery‑oriented care
✔ Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
