Job Description:
Excellent opportunity for an experienced, licensed Radiation Therapist to join an established radiation oncology practice in beautiful Naples, Florida. This is a full-time, permanent position. You will administer radiation treatments as well as ensure appropriate and applicable standards and practices as prescribed by a physician in accordance with standards of practice. TrueBeam experience required. Be compliant with all regulations with the facility as it pertains to specific guidelines, requirements, and regulations.
Responsibilities:
Reviews patient history, physicians orders and radiation therapy treatment plan. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patients understanding and cooperation. Delivers therapy according to the treatment plan and the physicians prescription. Prepares equipment and supplies. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Leads the team of all therapists in all aspects required such as but not limited to schedules, training, and coverage.
Requirements:
Florida certification as a radiation therapist from an accredited radiation therapy school or college. ARRT and ASRT registered and certified. State of Florida license required. CPR certification required. Experience with Varian machines including TrueBeam as well as GE Light speed CT scanner.
