Job Summary
Advocate Radiation Oncology is seeking a skilled and dedicated CT Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography (CT) scans, ensuring patient safety and comfort during procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of diagnostic evaluation techniques and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced medical environment.
Duties
- Conduct CT scans as per Physician orders, ensuring accurate imaging for diagnostic purposes.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results and provide comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain equipment functionality through regular checks and troubleshooting as necessary.
- Educate patients about the CT scanning process, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
- Document patient information and imaging results accurately in compliance with medical protocols.
- Stay updated on advancements in diagnostic radiology
Skills
- Proficient in diagnostic evaluation techniques relevant to CT imaging.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and physiology to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff.
- Experience working in urgent care or trauma settings is preferred
- Familiarity with aseptic technique practices to ensure patient safety during procedures.
- Ability to operate CT machines efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction and teamwork within a multidisciplinary healthcare setting.
