Project Manager

Job Summary

The Product Development Project Manager is more than a traditional PM role, we are looking for someone eager to be proactive, bring forward new ideas, and grow within the organization. This individual will have the opportunity to shape processes, find efficiencies, and take on new challenges while building a career in product development and marketing operations.

The position oversees and manages projects across product innovation, flavor extensions, reformulations, and rebrands. This role ensures that projects move from concept through launch on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives. The Project Manager will work closely with R&D, Product, Creative, Operations, Supply Chain, Regulatory, and cross-functional Marketing teams to ensure seamless communication, effective prioritization, and adherence to timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the lifecycle of product development projects, including innovation launches, flavor extensions, reformulations, and rebrands.
• Build and maintain detailed project timelines in Asana, ensuring tasks, owners, and deadlines are clear and up to date.
• Monitor project milestones; communicate shifts in dates, scope, or resources and confirm downstream impacts with stakeholders.
• Support the Sr. Program Manager and Sr. Product Manager with status reporting, risk identification, and issue escalation.
• Partner closely with the R&D team to manage workflow, organize tasks, and ensure prioritization within Asana.
• Maintain organized communication with co-manufacturers, Supply Chain, and other partners by ensuring emails are structured, subject lines are clear, and all relevant stakeholders are included.
• Stay on top of manufacturers’ priority lists, proactively following up to ensure projects remain aligned with agreed-upon priorities and timelines.
• Capture and distribute meeting notes for product development meetings you manage, ensuring key decisions and action items are clearly documented.
• Serve as a process owner for R&D project flow, helping bridge daily details with long-term launch timelines.
• Collaborate with Creative Project Management (for packaging) and Creative Traffic Management (for marketing assets) to ensure deliverables align with launch plans.
• Partner with Operations (Supply Chain, Quality, Warehouse), Legal, Regulatory, Accounting, Customer Service, and IT to align on timelines, requirements, and risks.
• Facilitate communication across all departments, ensuring transparency and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

Knowledge and Skills Preferred

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of project management experience in consumer-packaged goods (CPG), product development, or a related field.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams (R&D, Supply Chain, Marketing, Regulatory).
• Proficiency in Asana or other project management software.
• Strong skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint; familiarity with Confluence or similar collaboration tools.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
