KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Manager of Human Resources & EHS serves as a strategic business partner responsible for leading HR and EHS initiatives that support organizational performance and manufacturing excellence.
Strategic Leadership
- Partner with plant leadership to develop and align HR and EHS strategies with business objectives.
- Lead and develop the HR and EHS functions while driving continuous improvement.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on workforce planning and organizational effectiveness.
Operational Excellence
- Integrate HR and EHS initiatives into manufacturing operations and strategic planning.
- Utilize HRIS, workforce analytics, and KPIs to drive data-based decisions.
- Ensure compliance with evolving regulations and industry best practices.
Talent Management & Development
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, retention, and succession planning initiatives.
- Develop leadership development, training, and performance management programs.
- Build talent pipelines that support future organizational growth.
Employee & Labor Relations
- Foster positive employee relations through visible leadership and engagement.
- Lead investigations, conflict resolution, and policy administration.
- Promote a respectful, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture.
Compensation, Benefits & Compliance
- Support competitive compensation and benefits programs.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee workers' compensation, leave administration, audits, and HR governance.
Environmental Health & Safety
- Provide leadership and oversight for workplace safety initiatives and environmental compliance programs.
- Champion workplace safety and regulatory compliance.
- Promote a proactive safety culture through accountability and continuous improvement.
IDEAL CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or related field.
- 5-10 years of progressive HR leadership experience in manufacturing.
- Experience leading or partnering closely with Environmental Health & Safety programs.
- Strong background in talent management, employee relations, engagement and retention initiatives, HRIS, workforce analytics, compensation, compliance, and organizational development.
- Business acumen with the ability to influence plant leadership and drive organizational performance through people strategies.
- Professional HR and/or EHS certifications (SHRM-SCP, SPHR, PHR, ASP, CSP, etc.) strongly preferred.
