Financial Operations (Accounts Receivable) | Inclusive Private School in Brooklyn | Strong Work-Life Balance


A private school in Brooklyn is seeking a detail-oriented professional to support accounts receivable and financial operations. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership in a highly collaborative environment focused on operational excellence, discretion, and service. This role will work on-site Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm, however there are a few periods throughout the year where there will be flexibility to work from home for weeks at a time when school is not in session.


This is a full-time, permanent position that works all year, not just during the academic school year.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage accounts receivable processes, payment plans, and billing communications
  • Partner with finance leadership to support reviews, documentation, and reporting
  • Maintain enrollment-related financial records, agreements, and supporting documentation
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure accurate invoicing and timely account updates
  • Support data collection, reporting, and annual compliance-related submissions
  • Maintain confidentiality while serving as a primary point of contact for sensitive financial matters
  • Assist with process improvement initiatives and administrative projects within the business office


EXPERIENCE

  • 3 years of experience in accounts receivable, financial operations, tuition management, or related administrative functions
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience handling confidential financial information in a professional setting
  • Ability to communicate effectively with families, leadership, and cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets, financial systems, and database management tools
  • Prior experience within education, nonprofit, or service-oriented environments is preferred


WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Full-time, exempt position following a standard weekday schedule
  • Collaborative office environment with occasional flexibility required during peak periods
  • Role requires professionalism, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously


Salary: $80K – $95K a strong benefits package which includes fully paid single employee benefits, a robust PTO package, hybrid flexibility during periods of the year, tuition reimbursement, and professional development
