What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Receivable & Credit Specialist position at Adventure Ready Brands?
Location: Littleton, NH – Hybrid / Remote Option Available
PURPOSE AND SCOPE
The Accounts Receivable & Credit Specialist will manage the full-cycle accounts receivable process, including ad hoc billing and credit memos, high-level collections, and cash applications. They are responsible for analyzing AR aging’s, resolving disputes, and supporting month-end close.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Monitors all major bank accounts for funds received. Posts all accounts receivable payments to ERP.
- Processes credit card payments and submits batches to processors.
- Resolves credit balances and customer account payment issues. Investigates and resolves billing discrepancies, short payments, and customer disputes.
- Completes New Customer Set ups and establishes and maintains credit limits and credit terms on new and existing customers.
- Evaluates orders placed on credit hold, analyzes overdue accounts, and aggressively pursues collection of cash.
- Works with customers to create efficiency and automation in the payment process (e.g., ACH, B2B Portal, etc.).
- Supports Assistant Controller as needed
- Works with other departments to resolve issues
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience
- Working knowledge of accounts receivable practices and principles
- Familiarity with basic accounting principles
- Knowledge of Microsoft Navision Software beneficial
- Very strong math skills
- Strong computer and data entry skills (proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel)
- Excellent communications skills
- Strong Organizational skills
- Strong analytical skills
