Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher Assistant to support classroom teachers and enhance the learning experience for young children. Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and educational activities aligned with curriculum standards.
- Support children’s social, emotional, and developmental needs through attentive caregiving and positive behavior management.
- Supervise children during classroom activities, recess, lunch, and other transitions to ensure safety and engagement.
- Help with classroom organization, including preparing materials and maintaining a clean learning environment.
- Provide individualized support to children with special needs or disabilities, ensuring inclusive participation.
- Assist with diapering, feeding, and basic infant/toddler care as needed.
- Support classroom management strategies to promote respectful behavior and active participation.
- Administer basic first aid when necessary and follow health and safety protocols diligently.
- Communicate effectively with parents and staff regarding student progress and needs.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies.
- Childcare certifications such as First Aid or CPR are advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification .
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and team members.
- Compassionate, patient, organized, and proactive in supporting children's learning environments.
