A recent 200,000 square-foot expansion project upgraded the hospital to 265 beds, with a spacious patient tower and 80 new private rooms designed to enhance the holistic care experience

The role you’ll contribute:
Primary responsibility is the provision of medication distributive functions and pharmacy operational tasks, which includes but is not limited to assisting the pharmacist with all duties of preparing and dispensing of medications, inventory management, and regulatory compliance. Advanced responsibilities include patient care interactions allowed according to Florida Pharmacy Intern licensure under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. Performs duties necessary for the effective daily operation of all department services and programs. Accurately responds to medication dispensing requests, prepares medications for pharmacist final review/check, delivers checked medications, and returns unused or expired medications to appropriate pharmacy areas. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Completes 10 hours of ACPE accredited pharmacy continuing education per calendar year.
The foreign graduate registered intern shares the responsibility with the pharmacy manager or preceptor in completing and mailing the Foreign Graduate Registered Intern Preceptor Registration form verifying the preceptor’s registration to the board office and maintaining a log of training hours to complete the intern affidavit.
Per the Florida Board of Pharmacy, the foreign graduate registered intern will complete all requirements as outlined in the FOREIGN GRADUATE REGISTERED INTERN WORK ACTIVITY MANUAL. This includes completion of the institutional practice work activity checklist and preparing a report (two (2) pages, double-spaced and typed using font size 10 or 12) on each of the six core assignments listed below:

Prescription/Physician Order (Rx) Processing
Drug Product Information
Four Patient Profiles Studies
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :
Graduate of a 4-year undergraduate pharmacy program of a school or college of pharmacy located outside the United States and/or is not Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited.
Must be deemed eligible by the Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Examination Commission (FPGEC) to sit for the FPGEE and currently pursuing licensure as a pharmacist as demonstrated by:
providing Eligibility notification letter for FPGEE
an original FPGEE score report
certificate showing FPGEC certification
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED _:_
Contemporary hospital pharmacy experience
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED :
Current, valid State of Florida Pharmacist Intern license
Proof of licensure and/or registration to practice pharmacy in the country or jurisdiction where you earned a degree
