The role you’ll contribute:

With leadership of the Hospital Administrator & Vice President, the Community Relations Manager position is responsible for developing community outreach programs including social and community awareness that promotes the hospital’s image in a positive and community-oriented way. This position is responsible for evaluating, planning, organizing and managing all hospital-based internal and external community health, wellness, seminar/lecture, physician and hospital speaker bureau and outreach programs. This position is also responsible for managing AdventHealth Zephyrhills and Dade City’s day-to-day contact with the community to generate awareness of the AdventHealth brand and services through community outreach. This position also works closely and collaboratively with administration, marketing, business development, senior community liaison, physician liaison representatives, physicians, office managers, community benefit managers, wellness, clergy, call center and other AdventHealth staff to develop core community programming that benefits both the hospital and the community it serves.

The Community Relations Manager is also responsible for helping to develop and implement strategic business development plans to help the hospital, CREATION Life Wellness Center and affiliated physician practices meet volume and revenue goals. Responsibilities include the execution of strategic plans while meeting budget parameters and generating ROI for programs. Other responsibilities include advertising strategies, social media, sponsorships, key community relationships, online reputation management, photography and videography.

• Proactively develops and manages relationships with key civic, community and non-profit organizations.
• Serves on local civic and community boards, representing the hospital as an ambassador to promote the hospital’s key service lines and community support.
• Develops, manages and deploys a "turn-key" community event management service. Responsible for managing all event logistics including, but not limited to location, food, A/V, speakers, promotion of event, registration, screening materials and promotional items.
• Supports and provides direction to the Senior Community Liaison to establish strategies and goals for building brand loyalty and growing market share in 55 communities within our PSA.
• Ability to engage and interact with senior and/or executive leadership as well as department managers and directors to grow the hospital’s business.
• Oversees the hospital’s CBISA database, ensures community benefit data is captured and entered into system and assists the executive team with the hospital’s Community Benefit Plan and Community Health Needs Assessment.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

• Five or more years of experience and proven track record in strategic and integrated marketing communications that includes strategic marketing and planning, advertising and promotional plans, agency relationships and working with a creative development process.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, Business, Advertising, Healthcare Administration or related field.
• Previous healthcare marketing experience is preferred.
