You’ll work on national, regional, and local media opportunities in a fast-moving environment where strategy, creativity, responsiveness, and relationships matter.
Qualifications
- Public Relations and Media Relations expertise, including experience in building and maintaining journalist relationships and securing media coverage
- Strong Writing and Communication skills for drafting press releases, speeches, and outreach materials
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage priorities, multitask, and meet deadlines in a remote environment
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
- Experience with PR tools and platforms, such as media databases and monitoring software, is a plus
What You’ll Do
• Pitch and secure earned media across national, regional, and local outlets
• Develop timely, strategic, and creative story angles
• Respond quickly to breaking news opportunities
• Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists and producers
• Prepare and staff media interviews, including live television appearances
• Draft press releases, media alerts, talking points, and outreach materials
• Communicate directly with clients in a confident and professional manner
• Help clients position themselves as leaders in their industries and communities
• Stay plugged into the news cycle and identify proactive opportunities for visibility
Qualifications
• 4–7 years of experience in public relations or media relations
• Proven track record of securing earned media coverage
• Strong writing, pitching, and communication skills
• Ability to manage priorities and deadlines in a remote environment
• Experience working with national media is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field preferred
• Florida-based strongly preferred

Location
This is a fully remote position, with preference given to candidates based in Florida.
