Shift: Days
Supervises on-site and remote coding staff, including monitoring schedules and providing coverage for time off. Manages time sheets, corrections, and tracks actual time against estimates. Conducts team meetings, one-on-one coder meetings, and provides coaching and training to facilitate positive outcomes. Reports production scores to coders and performs semi-annual TalentCare reviews and development conversations. Performs coding and abstracting functions, and coordinates coder and provider training and education. Maintains communication with practice leadership and revenue cycle directors, and reviews and performs QA with coders. Monitors coder workflows, workloads, and worklists/queues to maintain proper balance of assignments and solve coding or workflow issues. Tracks claim trends, provides education to providers and staff, and monitors and assigns claims from additional worklists as assigned by managers. Provides PE Managers and Directors with written status reports, issues, and overall status of assigned projects. Conducts weekly meetings with managers, prepares weekly production reports, and performs annual QA for edits and denials. Leads and participates in special projects, including pulling surgical audit results and reviewing audit results from the auditing team. Performs other duties as assigned.
