The role you'll contribute:
The Food and Nutrition (FANS) Generalist supports a variety of essential functions across caf, patient services, and sanitation areas. This versatile role may assist with food and beverage preparation, cold prep, tray assembly, dishroom operations, and delivery of patient meals. Responsibilities include operating the cash register, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, stocking supplies, and providing excellent customer service to patients, staff, and guests. The generalist adapts to daily operational needs and contributes to a smooth, efficient, and compliant foodservice environment.
The value you'll bring to the team:
Prepare and assemble hot and cold food items, including beverages, following standardized recipes and production requirements to ensure quality and consistency.
Stock, rotate, and sanitize nursing pantries and bulk nourishments, maintaining accurate inventory records and billing documentation.
Serve meals on tray lines, record food temperatures, and deliver trays to patients using proper identification protocols and isolation procedures.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, floors, and equipment, using cleaning chemicals safely and effectively according to required concentrations.
Operate dishroom equipment and caf registers, process transactions accurately, and monitor sanitation logs and temperature records, taking corrective actions as needed.

High School Grad or Equiv Required
