Role Description
This is a PRN/variable hours, on-site role for an Inpatient Phlebotomist located in Orlando, FL. The Inpatient Phlebotomist will be responsible for collecting blood samples, labeling and preparing samples for laboratory testing, and ensuring proper patient identification and handling. Additional responsibilities include working closely with medical staff and maintaining accurate records of all procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Phlebotomy licensing recognized either nationally or within the state of Florida
- Minimum 1 year of blood draw experience
- Pediatric blood draw experience a plus, not required
- Proficient with EMR systems and computers
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a healthcare team
- Able to walk and stand for long periods of time
