We are hiring a staff accountant to replace a person who was promoted after many years. The job is primarily general accounting with some compliance and account analysis.
This is a very secure company that has continually served the State of California for the past 50 years. The ideal candidate will be an experienced staff accountant who is more interested in career security and stability than career growth and promotions. The department is designed for 40 hour work-weeks and no overtime work.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and enter monthly amortizations, journal entries and necessary accruals to accurately report and record the organization’s financial transactions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date General Ledger schedules.
- Perform various account analyses and reconciliation functions including complex bank reconciliations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Economics, or Finance
- 5 years' of work experience in general accounting
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and mid-market ERP
- Good communications skills and attention to details
Salary : $69,500 - $74,500
