Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant for our client located in Anaheim. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in general ledger accounting and financial analysis, along with a proactive approach to process improvement and collaboration. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate and timely reconciliations.
- Analyze financial statements and provide oversight to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Identify and correct reporting errors, offering recommendations for improvements.
- Monitor and evaluate departmental expenses to support budget adherence.
- Provide support during external financial audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with general ledger accounting.
- Proficiency in multi-state sales and use tax filings.
- Hands-on experience with bank reconciliations.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Skilled in working with databases and financial systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.
