Position: Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist – Torrance, CA
Monday - Friday
Flexible start times 6am and after
Pay rate: $30.00 and up / DOE
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist to join our client's growing team. This role supports a business unit providing third-party logistics services to external clients, focusing on managing accounts, resolving outstanding balances, and improving AR processes.
Responsibilities:
- Apply cash receipts and reconcile customer accounts
- Research discrepancies, chargebacks, and short payments
- Resolve customer inquiries and internal AR issues
- Review and release orders on credit hold
- Process debit and credit memos
- Assist with month-end close and audits
- Train new team members and support AR team initiatives
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications:
- 3–6 years of AR experience, including credit and collections
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- ERP experience (Oracle preferred) and advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Independent, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
