R&D Lab Technician (Part-Time) - Wilmington, NC
Pay: $21-$24/hour | 25 hours/week
We are seeking a detail-oriented R&D Lab Technician to support polyol research, chemical testing, and laboratory operations at our Wilmington, NC facility. This part-time role focuses on assisting R&D Principal Investigators with experiments, analytical testing, and documentation to drive new product development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute experimental protocols including polyol synthesis, analytical testing, and end-use physical property tests
- Record and maintain accurate data, laboratory notebooks, and documentation for compliance
- Operate and maintain lab equipment and instrumentation (FTIR, NIR, GC, GCMS, LC, wet chemistry)
- Assist with safety and compliance checks in the laboratory
- Secure materials, manage lab supplies, and support R&D project execution
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related science field
- Experience with analytical instrumentation and standard laboratory methods
- Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to work independently and safely in a chemical lab
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, bend, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform routine lab tasks
- Strict adherence to safety protocols and PPE usage
