Quality Technician
Location: Memphis, TN
Pay: $21.00/hour
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Technician to support manufacturing quality processes in a fast-paced production environment. This temporary position is ideal for candidates with experience in quality assurance, inspections, auditing, and manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
- Perform quality audits on manufacturing processes and finished products to ensure compliance with company and customer requirements.
- Conduct inspections for dimensional, mechanical, electrical, cosmetic, and performance specifications.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions to verify product quality.
- Support First Article Inspections (FAI), root cause investigations, and corrective action activities.
- Record and analyze quality data using statistical quality control methods.
- Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment, including micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
- Manage calibration schedules, records, and gauge tracking activities.
- Generate quality reports, charts, and documentation using computerized systems.
- Perform receiving inspections, Out-of-Box Audits (OBA), and manufacturing process audits as required.
- Assist with identifying quality concerns, placing production holds when necessary, and supporting resolution efforts.
- Ensure timely completion of quality documentation and disposition activities.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Quality Technician, Quality Inspector, QA Technician, or related manufacturing quality role preferred.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Proficiency with computer systems and data entry.
