Location: Hybrid – 3 days onsite in either Minnetonka, MN or Marlborough, MA

Pay Rate: $55.74 – $71.16/hour or up to about $144,000 a year

Job Type: Long Term Contract

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support sustaining projects within a fast-paced medical device environment. This role will lead cross-functional initiatives focused on product continuity, quality and regulatory compliance, supplier and material changes, product enhancements, value improvement initiatives, and sustaining engineering activities.

The ideal candidate is a highly organized and self-motivated project manager with experience leading cross-functional teams in regulated industries. This individual will work closely with R&D, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Operations, Manufacturing, Marketing, Clinical, and Supply Chain teams to ensure projects are executed successfully and aligned with business objectives.

This is a highly visible role requiring strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills to drive project execution across global teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead sustaining and remediation projects from initiation through completion
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones and deliverables are achieved
• Support quality and regulatory driven initiatives, supplier changes, material changes, and product design enhancements
• Manage project scope, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
• Facilitate project meetings, document action items, maintain decision logs, and communicate project updates to leadership
• Partner with global teams and business functions to align priorities and project execution strategies
• Prepare and present project status reports to senior leadership and stakeholders
• Support Annual Operating Plan (AOP) activities, including project prioritization and resource planning
• Ensure compliance with internal quality systems, policies, and medical device regulations
• Promote strong project team collaboration, accountability, and execution excellence

Additional Responsibilities

• Analyze current project management processes and identify opportunities for improvement
• Support implementation and continuous improvement of project management tools and methodologies
• Assist with portfolio tracking, reporting, and project governance activities
• Support post-project reviews and lessons learned activities
• Drive adoption of project management best practices across teams

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, or related field
• 4–5 years of project management experience leading cross-functional teams
• Experience managing project scope, schedules, budgets, and competing priorities
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable presenting to leadership and working across multiple functions
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within the medical device or other regulated industry environments
• PMP certification preferred but not required
• Experience supporting sustaining engineering, quality, regulatory, or remediation projects
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project
• Experience with resource planning and budget management
• Willingness to travel up to 15%, including occasional international travel

• Build quality into all aspects of work while maintaining compliance with all applicable quality standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
