Production Assistant
Location: Ayer, MA
Pay: $23/hour
Schedule: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
We are hiring a hands-on Production Assistant to support daily manufacturing operations in a fast-paced environment. This role combines ERP coordination, inventory control, and production support to ensure efficient and accurate workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Open, verify, and manage job orders in ERP systems
- Ensure correct materials and lot numbers are used in production
- Print and distribute daily production schedules
- Perform cycle counts (cartons, caps, labels, etc.)
- Support training of operators and standard procedures
- Assist with OEE improvements and production analysis
- Step in for the Shift Supervisor when needed
- Support production lines during staffing shortages
- Follow all GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing operations
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 60 lbs
Preferred:
- Experience in food manufacturing
- Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and SQF standards
