Daily Responsibilities
- Lead new product introduction (NPI) efforts, ensuring manufacturability and smooth production launches
- Optimize manufacturing processes and product flow to improve efficiency and reduce waste
- Perform and document process and equipment validations (IQ, OQ, PQ)
- Develop capacity planning models and facility layouts for equipment moves and expansions
- Coordinate and deliver operator training for new and existing processes and equipment
- Collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and improve processes
- Conduct time studies to establish and verify process standards
- Drive cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support production through troubleshooting, process improvements, and workflow enhancements
- Design and develop tooling, automation, and process improvements for existing production lines
- Review engineering prints to ensure manufacturability and accuracy
- Implement systems such as kanban and capacity planning tools
- Partner with engineering and operations teams on technology and process improvement projects
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related scientific discipline
- Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience
- Applied experience with Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma tools
- Experience with FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) and Design of Experiments (DOE)
- Strong technical writing skills (protocols, reports, validations)
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with equipment design and build
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
